Official NHTSA campaign record

Why the reported issue matters

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire.

Official NHTSA campaign record

Prepare your observation

Record an existing fuel-related symptom without opening fuel-system parts or deliberately running the vehicle out of fuel.

A reported defect describes the campaign. It does not establish what caused a symptom on your individual vehicle, and absence of a symptom does not establish that an open recall is complete.

The reported manufacturer remedy

Dealers will update the engine control software. In addition, dealers will replace the high-pressure fuel rail assembly and fuel injectors, free of charge. As an interim repair, dealers will update the engine control software, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed August 29, 2025. Second letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in July 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S76. This recall expands and replaces previous recall numbers 22V-859, 24V187, and 25V165. Vehicles previously remedied under 22V-859, 24V187, and 25V165 will need to have the new final remedy performed once it is available.

Your campaign-specific service questions

Use these questions with the official report. Keep the answers beside the remedy record; “discussed” records a conversation, not a completed repair.

  1. Does the manufacturer confirm that campaign 25V467000 applies to this VIN, including the report’s equipment and production restrictions?

A matching model and year is only a starting point. The official lookup or manufacturer must establish the individual vehicle’s status.

  2. The source describes a pending remedy or parts. What is available now for this VIN, and which interim instructions still apply?

The dated official record describes development, future availability or a later remedy step. It does not establish today’s parts or appointment availability. Confirm the current remedy and any interim instructions with the manufacturer.

  3. Which fuel-system component or reading is covered, and what interim handling or transport instructions apply?

Compare the answer with the reported component: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM.

  4. Which module and software completion record demonstrate that the update for 25V467000 was applied?

Ask the service provider how the campaign-specific software remedy is documented. A dashboard reset is not evidence of the specified update.

  5. Which items in the reported replacement remedy for 25V467000 were replaced, and are they identified on the work order?

Keep the replaced items and the campaign number together so that a later visit can distinguish recall work from other repairs.

  6. How does this campaign relate to 22V859000, 24V187000, 25V165000, and does work recorded under an earlier campaign satisfy the current remedy?

Show any earlier work order. Related recall numbers can describe expanded or repeated work; ask the manufacturer to reconcile the records.

  7. What dated document records the remedy performed under 25V467000, and what should I do if the reported concern remains?

Keep campaign completion and unresolved symptoms as separate questions. A saved worksheet or booked appointment does not establish a repair.
